I have built my website from scratch. It costs me only $3.50 a month. As for a web host, I use iPage to host my website. I bought their hosting because they provided a free domain name. I also use Kompozer software (free) to edit my html pages. Good Luck!

Various things:

1) If you ask me I’d stay away from 1and1 for hosting. Godaddy, every now and then I hear a complaint (for both domains and hosting). So I try to not recommend them. Have a look at www.nodaddy.com. Yahoo is good for domains (not hosting though) but they charge $35 or so (confirm) for the second year from the second year which is very pricey. I’d suggest netfirms.com or register.com for domains.

2) Don’t opt for web hosting for more than 1 year in advance. In fact start with a monthly plan for 1-2 months and then shift over to an yearly plan. It may look like you are paying a dollar or two more in the beginning but that is worth it if you want to move to a different host later without wasting your money.

3) In web hosting industry, you get what you pay for. So if you look for very cheap options like $2-$3.5 per month or so, don’t expect your website to be up 99.9% or get very good support. Spare a dollar or two more a month and you can have a good service. Check out some really reliable and good web hosts at http://hosting4beginners.webnode.com/list-of-great-web-hosts/
I’d recommend Arvix/Inmotion from that list to you. Excellent service and uptime. I think you can get 1 year of hosting for $5/month at Arvix. Check out Inmotion too.

4) 15 mb is very little and I suppose even if you were to expand your website a 100 times, it’d still only take around 1.5 GB. That’s not much at all. You can easily expect to use 10-20 GB of disk space without any problems.

.COM registration usually higher and it has a standard price. Although you will get the benefit on 1st year but you have to pay little more on 2nd year for covering the cost.
Could you consider get .INFO instead of .COM coz only $1.99 on sales in Lovely Apple now, you can make your domain like .

Yeah, if it’s your first website and you have no expierence with the code, it will not work.
Youtube uses adobe’s flash for it video player, you will need dynamic webpages (php or other), you will need html, you will need databases, …

You could use something like wordpress on a free host like 789mb.com.(no ads, …) On the site it you can install it. That will come close to what you are searching for.

Yes it might the possible reason.

As per common convention hosting companies consider the changes only after a day or two.

In case problem persist just call/email them up and ask for
the solution.
