Try The Paid Features for a Penny

If you ask experienced Webmasters about which company you should use, 8 out of 10 of them would recommend Hostgator. Hostgator is currently hosting more than 7 million websites and the number is growing. Why are they highly recommended by web developers? They have customer support second to none. Their live chat is available 24/7 for not only sales related questions but also for billing and technical support, that is on top of their amazing phone and email support.

Moreover, they have mind blowing money back guarantee of 45 days. They also let you try their full-feature “unlimited” hosting for a penny. Yes, for only $0.01 for the first month. Do you know any other company that can give you that kind of assurance and guarantee? Anyhow, the 50% discount is the best deal we have heard from them so far.

They are also rated A+ by Better Business Bureau, so you know they are serious about their customers. They also offer other plans such as VPS and dedicated hosting if you need to upgrade in the future. Avoid one-plan hosting such as Fatcow or Bluehost as they are meant for small hobby sites and they will kick you out very fast if you start to get visitors. You may be tempted by a Fatcow review you read on the web, but do not fall for it.

Will a VPS Web Hosting company fill my needs?

June 4th, 2011 6 comments

A frequently-asked query:

After a year and a half of hosting a CGI based database site with a shared hosting company, resulting in occasional server overloads and web site shutdowns, it’s obvious that I need to change my hosting plan. My former hosting company says that the CGI scripts are causing the overloads. Would a VPS hosting plan be a good alternative for me? Does anyone know any good, reliable VPS hosting companies?

Thanks!
